DJ, Broadcaster and dance music legend Pete Tong has today announced he will be taking his acclaimed Ibiza Classics back home to where it all began a decade ago. Set to perform across four nights on one of the world’s most prestigious stages, The Royal Albert Hall.
Each night will feature unique programming, with special guest vocalists including the return of fan-beloved Becky Hill, Jacob Lusk (Gabriels), Jazzy, Clementine Douglas and the iconic Barbara Tucker. The bill is completed by a star-studded roster of guest DJ’s including Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, David Morales and Paul Oakenfold. All set to appear on stage with Pete Tong, Jules Buckley and the Essential Orchestra.
Starting in 2015 as part of BBC’s late-night Prom when Radio 1 introduced Pete to Jules Buckley. Together, they were tasked to merge the best of two different worlds, classic and electronic music. This creating a unique, never seen before spectacle. Pete adds “It’s like you’ve driven a sports car your whole life, then suddenly you’re in Formula One” referring to the feeling he experienced when playing with a 65-piece orchestra for the first time. When Jules steps behind the podium, the audience never quite know what to anticipate, with the result being truly breathtaking.
The show is a jaw-dropping audiovisual that pays musical homage to Ibiza. With its infectious, energetic dance culture, Ibiza Classics brings a new dimension to everyone’s favourite tunes, at the place where it all began, the Royal Albert Hall.
Pete Tong adds “I’m thrilled and inspired to be going back to where we started Ibiza Classics at the Royal Albert Hall. That’s where the magic happened. The atmosphere created that first night is why we’re still here ten years on… It’s a very special place.”
As part of the celebration, a special limited-edition album Pete Tong and Jules Buckley – Ibiza Classics 10th Anniversary Collection is being released. Featuring a tracklist curated by Pete himself from the last decade of shows. The Ibiza Classics 10th Anniversary Edition comes out on the 23rd of May, available to pre-order now as a 2LP vinyl or 2CD format.

Pete Tong MBE, a globally renowned British DJ, broadcaster and producer, a pillar of electronic dance music and his long-standing BBC Radio 1 show. Tong’s history and connection with Ibiza is extensive and deeply influential, making him a leading figure on the island. Pete has been revered as an arena-selling artist, DJ, music producer, A&R, and the voice of Radio 1’s prestigious dance programming. With an incredible 30+ year career, the tastemaker DJ, broadcaster and producer has been dedicated to making dance music a global genre, constantly pushing boundaries, and breaking new talent wherever he goes.
The Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. Throughout its 153-year history, it has welcomed a who’s who of world-renowned figures: artists, athletes and activists. No other place on earth has played host to Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein and Muhammad Ali; Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles and Adele. This was the Suffragettes’ “temple of liberty” – the site of Votes for Women rallies that helped change the course of British history – the home of the Stonewall concerts, and a place of celebration during Nelson Mandela’s state visit. But its eccentric history has also seen it used for a séance, an indoor marathon and the world’s first bodybuilding contest (judged by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle). In an ordinary year, the Hall’s extraordinary auditorium presents around 400 world-class events: encompassing rock, pop and classical music, theatre, dance, films, Cirque du Soleil and sport. It typically welcomes 1.8 million visitors a year, while its 1,000 events in secondary spaces help to attract a young, diverse audience. Its Engagement programme includes music therapy, concerts in the community, and workshops with A-list artists, often in collaboration with other charities, such as Nordoff Robbins and Music for Youth.
