PRINCESS NOKIA
RELEASES EXPLOSIVELY CATCHY SINGLE
‘closure’
Princess Nokia has released her new single “closure,” a snarling alternative electronica catharsis that marks a new era for the “bossed up” (Billboard) artist that typically fuses pop gloss with experimental rap. “closure” boasts an emphatic drum progression, propelled by a Y2K nostalgia-tinged hook that highlights Princess Nokia’s playful vocals.
“closure” is accompanied by a video directed by Robot MoonJuice and Princess Nokia, filmed at the venue Elsewhere in Brooklyn, reminiscent of Steve Eichner’s iconic photos of NYC’s nightlife in the ’90s.

New York-born Puerto Rican MC, singer, songwriter, style icon, actress, and activist Princess Nokia continues to ascend. In the past two years, she released a series of singles from “sumptuous rush of confidence” (New York Times) “Boys Are From Mars” with Yung Baby Tate to “Banger” (Needle Drop) “No Effort,” and hit the road for her first-ever US headlining tour including festival stops at Coachella, Gov Ball and Lollapalooza. Celine’s SS21 fashion show was set to her first-ever RIAA certified Gold single “I Like Him” after she collaborated with Celine’s iconic designer Hedi Slimane for the collection. She performed on the new Gossip Girl, appeared in Kacey Musgraves’ star-crossed, and featured on Ashnikko’s Platinum Tik Tok smash “Slumber Party.” She made her second major acting role starring in 2022’s Daughter of the Sea, an award-winning film at the Cannes Film Festival and Venice Film Festival, continued her activism work including speaking at the NYC abortion rally and riding a float at Puerto Rican Pride Parade advocating for PR independence, and supported HAIM at their sold out show at Madison Square Garden.
