MARKS GREEN’S OFFICIAL RETURN FROM PATERNAL LEAVE & FIRST RELEASE VIA NEW INDEPENDENT LABEL PARTNER COOKING VINYL
TICKETS FOR HIS HEADLINE UK TOUR ARE ON SALE NOW
Today, multi-platinum-selling rapper, Professor Green, returns officially from paternal leave with new single, “POP SHXT” featuring fellow heavyweight emcee K Koke. The new track premiered on DJ Target’s 1Xtra show last night.
The new single, produced by Greatness Jones, sees Green and Koke riffing off one another back-to-back in true Hip Hop fashion. A collaboration in the true sense of the word, and just a snapshot of what this formidable pair have been working on together in the studio recently.
“POP SHXT” is the lead title track to be lifted from Professor Green’s forthcoming POP SHXT EP, (due for release this summer), and heralds in a new chapter in the MOBO and NME Award winner’s career. Fans can pre-order signed CD and signed Bootleg LP with etching on the b-side (limited to 200) HERE.
On his first release with independent label partner, Cooking Vinyl, Green concludes: “To join a label so renowned, offering me the freedom to release music at the momentum I’ve been itching to tickles me in all the right places. No more major label bureaucracy and red tape, just enthusiasm and aligning values.”
Accompanying the release is a visualizer featuring Professor Green as a Del Boy-esque jewellery seller, welcoming K Koke into ‘Professor Green Gems’.
Having fully recovered from an arduous series of surgical procedures last year, Professor Green is now on fighting form (“my health is great, my head is great, my energy is great”) and will be hitting the road for a nationwide headline 2023 Tour this Spring. Green’s UK tour will kick off on 22 April in Nottingham, encompass shows in Glasgow, Manchester, and Birmingham, and wrap up at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London on 27 April, (see full list of dates and details below). Tickets are on sale now and available to purchase HERE.
