Rival Sons announce summer headline shows
In addition to stadium shows with Guns N’ Roses
and appearance on Black Sabbath “Back To The Beginning”
Rival Sons have announced UK & European headline shows this summer in addition to the stadium shows already announced with Guns N’ Roses on the ‘Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things’ Tour and the appearance on Black Sabbath ‘Back To The Beginning’.
Frontman Jay Buchanan states: “What a great run to look forward to with a couple of new places to see. I’m so grateful for how far this music we’ve created continues to take us and the opportunity to tour with Guns N’ Roses is yet another pinnacle in the Rival Sons storyline. Let’s GO!”
Guitarist Scott Holiday states: “This is looking like it’s going to be a fantastic summer of incredible shows. Some of which are in cities and countries we haven’t seen yet! Along with these massive support dates, there’ll be a handful of headline shows across Europe where we’ll have the chance to stretch out and play more varied setlists.” He continues, “We’ve been very fortunate with such an array of exciting shows coming up, we’re really looking forward to getting back out”
The California based double GRAMMY® nominated rock’n’roll band Rival Sons were announced as main support for legendary rock group Guns N’ Roses last year. Visiting Georgia, and Turkey for the first time, Rival Sons look forward to meeting new fans and reconnecting with others:
Guitarist Scott Holiday continues: “This is a fun life. Every year we get to come back to Europe and reconnect with our friends and family – this year we’re doing it BIG. We love a big stage and this tour will see us stepping out on some of the biggest there are!”
Rival Sons were announced last week as added to Black Sabbath’s last show Back To The Beginning on July 5th. The band, who were hand picked by Black Sabbath for their final tour, The End which spanned 13 months across the globe, have been mentioned many times by Ozzy Osbourne as one of his favourite modern bands. The group even performed a medley of Black Sabbath’s hits at the Grammy Salute to Music Legends for Sabbath in 2019.
Holiday states: “It feels like we’re coming full circle, performing at the Black Sabbath Back To The Beginning event after The End tour. It really feels like a proper homecoming and salute the legendary band we were so lucky to become friends with eight years earlier. Couldn’t be more honored to be included.”

About Rival Sons:
Rival Sons tap into something timeless—reaching beyond eras and genres on a quest to uncover universal truths and connection. Their very emergence is inexplicable in the best way. They never fit into any era or category, yet their uncompromising spirit might be more necessary today than ever. A sense of panache, a dash of mystery, and an unapologetic commitment to the craft of rock ‘n’ roll underscore their deep catalogue highlighted by the likes of Pressure & Time [2011], Great Western Valkyrie [2014], and Feral Roots [2019], which garnered two GRAMMY® Award nominations in the categories of “Best Rock Album” and “Best Rock Performance” for the single “Too Bad.” Meanwhile, the Rock Radio #1 hit “Do Your Worst” has reeled in 70 million streams and counting. Hand-picked by Black Sabbath for their final tour, they’ve held their own on stage with the greats like The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and Lenny Kravitz in addition to blowing the roof off television staples such as David Letterman, The Late Late Show with James Corden, George Lopez, Jools Holland and Jimmy Kimmel.
In 2023, Rival Sons continued to subvert expectations with two full-length LPs — DARKFIGHTER and LIGHTBRINGER [Low Country Sound/Atlantic Records]. Though the genesis of these two albums is intertwined, they also speak to the band’s perpetual progression forward.
As they charge into 2025, Rival Sons are set for another monumental year, heading out on a coast to coast tour across Canada with Bush before heading to Europe with Guns N’ Roses for a stadium run. They will finish up their summer joining their old pals in Black Sabbath (and a few other friends) as special guests on their last show ever to be performed in Birmingham, UK.
