SELF ESTEEM PERFORMING AT NEIGHBOURHOOD FESTIVAL 2023
Self Esteem, is Rebecca Lucy Taylor she sprang into the spotlight with 2017 single “Your Wife”, she followed this with the albums Compliments Please and Prioritise Pleasure . She is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter and theatre composer, she was also the winner of the 2021 BBC Music Introducing award and Prioritise Pleasure was nominated for the 2022 Mercury Prize.

My life is a soundtrack, i track my life through music, photography is my passion, my escape, my expression. Without both i have pieces missing, thankfully i’m blessed and get to combine both.
Born in Manchester, lived in Australia for 22 years where i was heavily involved in the Australian Music Industry, firstly in bands (Singer) and then managing bands (all original), I moved back to the UK, Wales specifically 10 years ago
