Sterling Press share new single ‘What Would You Do?’
Out Now on Fear Records
Sterling Press return with the irrepressible new single ‘What Would You Do?’, out now on on Manchester label Fear Records.
The exuberance and lust for life Sterling Press possess is utterly infectious and ‘What Would You Do?’ is a three-minute joyride that is uninhibited and unapologetic, as the band explain:
“The lyrics of ‘What Would You Do?’ take the piss out posers in London bands we grew up playing with. I guess we got fed up of playing with unauthentic bands that copy others without having anything original about them. For a brief period, every band we came across just seemed insincere and that’s where the lyrics, especially towards the end of the song, really came from.”
They’ve developed a working relationship with producer Jolyon Thomas (Slaves, Kendrick Lamar, Royal Blood) and together they’ve recorded an EP that will be rolled out over the coming months. With live dates to reinforce the message, the coming months should establish Sterling Press as one the most exciting and essential new acts in the UK.
Originally from London but now based in Liverpool, much of what makes Sterling Press unique has been developed playing live, regularly appearing around the north-west with the occasional foray further afield. The band have the following dates lined up with more to come:
6th Sep – Oslo, London supporting Balancing Act
14th Oct – Live At Leeds
