SOULWAX TO RETURN TO THE STAGE WITH FIRST TOUR IN FIVE YEARS
Soulwax will start 2024 with 13-date European Tour.
Soulwax reveal the dates for their first set of live shows in five years as they announce their 2024 European tour.
The revered duo are preparing a brand-new live show which will see a full band taking their effervescent brand of genre-bending electronica to the stages of venues across France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Roundhouse (London) and New Century Hall (Manchester) in the UK.
A lot has happened since Soulwax last took their sonic laboratory to the stage, but you can guarantee that the perpetual energy that has kept the band pushing their signature sound forwards for almost three decades still remains.
From their rhythmic energy to experiential live nuances, shows from the Belgian electro-rock pair have become legendary for distilling the very spirit of electronic music and awarded them and their “loveable chaos” as amongst the most important acts in electronic music.
Formed by brothers Stephen and David Dewaele in 1995, Soulwax have consistently pushed the boundaries of music into new and innovative territory. As well as a band, they are DJs (2manydjs), a record label (DEEWEE) and the sound system Despacio – a joint project with James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem.
The news of their return to the stage comes at a milestone moment for the brothers who have just been awarded the legendary ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music award in association with Merlin’ at this year’s AIM Awards in recognition of their decades-spanning work and influence.
Few artists can consistently reinvent themselves with the level of success that Soulwax have achieved, so their return in 2024 promises to set a new precedent for what electronic music can be: the countdown has begun for Soulwax to prove once again that part of the weekend never dies.
