ANNOUNCE NEW EP, TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE, AND RELEASE TITLE TRACK
REVEAL NEW UK TOUR DATES
PRE-ORDER THE NEW EP ON VINYL FOR PRIORITY ACCESS TO TICKETS
Good things come in threes. After selling out Manchester Club Academy, Stanleys are back with details of a new single, a new EP and a brand-new tour. Forthcoming EP, Time Waits For No One, will be released on digital streaming platforms in November. On the EP, the band say “I think it’s a massive step up in terms of production, song writing and most importantly our performance as a band. The last 5 years of hard work and perfecting ourselves have culminated in this release.” It will also be released on vinyl, which is available to pre-order now and is set for release in November.
In a preview of what’s to come, Stanleys will release the EP’s title-track on Friday 9th September, a song which guitarist and songwriter, Jake Dorsman describes as possessing “the classic Stanleys sound but with a more mature form and a much darker side to the band. With melancholic verses and a story of despair and restlessness, the song evokes strong emotions.” ‘Time Waits For No One’ is available to listen to everywhere now.
Also on the EP is recent single, ‘Why Would I?’, which sees the song’s protagonist at crossroads in their life, describing a ‘Eureka!’ moment where they’ve realised a change is needed to find fulfilment. The catchy, singalong chorus has already led to the song becoming a highlight of the band’s live shows, with fans aloft on shoulders at their recent Manchester headline show.
Fans who pre-order the vinyl will receive priority access to an exclusive pre-sale offering an early chance to bag tickets for Stanleys upcoming tour. Taking place in November 2022, Stanleys will head to Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham and London before a homecoming show in Wigan on Saturday 19th November.
“The last time we played a hometown show was well before the pandemic,” Jake says in anticipation of the band’s return to Wigan, “and that’s what makes this tour special. To see how the venue sizes have grown since our debut tour in December is also really exciting and visiting new places such as Newcastle and Sheffield is also something we’re really looking forward to. Playing the brand new EP in its entirety is going to be an unreal experience and we can’t wait to share it with the fans.”
General sale for these dates takes place on Friday 8th September from https://gigst.rs/Stanleys.
