THE HU

Reveal Animated Music Video For “Sell The World”

Globally lauded Mongolian rock sensation and UNESCO 2023 “Artist of Peace” designees THE HU have shared their first-ever animated music video for the deeply moving, environmentally conscious song “Sell The World.”

It is featured on their 2022 album RUMBLE OF THUNDER and its deluxe version, released earlier this year via Better Noise Music.  The compelling animated video depicts environmental villains taking nature’s limited resources for granted and ruining the planet for generations to come.

“The ‘Sell the World’ music video is the first-ever animated music video from The HU,” shares THE HU’s producer DASHKA. “It’s our way of expressing the love we have for our earth. From the name of the song to the content of the video, we use sarcasm and exaggeration to show the unpleasantness of the world. It was easier to use the graphics and 3Ds to create visuals for the exaggerated message that the song has in its lyrics. Throughout past albums, The HU’s songs positively reinforce the message of protecting the earth and keeping nature intact. However, on this video we took a completely different, polar opposite approach to the song’s message by reminding listeners of the limited resources of this earth. The female in the video represents the mother earth we are singing about.”

RUMBLE OF THUNDER: DELUXE VERSION is available now via digital download or on cd, cassette and various special edition vinyl offerings HERE

The extended album includes seven new tracks including four acoustic songs and three newly recorded singles featuring guest musicians including William Duvall (Alice In Chains)Serj TankianDL (Bad Wolves) and LP.

Napalm Records is proud to welcome Australian dark folk/blackgaze project SULDUSK to the roster! Founded by the highly talented Emily Highfield, their debut album, Lunar Falls, was released in 2019 and highly acclaimed by international press. With their “killer debut album” (Folk N Rock), SULDUSK stunned listeners by luring them into their gloomy magical world, where they combine a high variety of different dark and extreme sounds with their very own sonic universe. Dark folk, blackgaze, post-rock, prog, doom and even black metal elements flow into each other and create one very unique synthesis of sound highlighted by Emily Highfield’s voice that impresses with softness and fragility at times, yet in the next moment turns over to demonic screams.

Emily Highfield and the band will be releasing the follow up album soon, and are ready to embark on another journey into the depths of primeval forests, where emotions are hidden under the thickets to reveal what’s not meant to be seen.

Emily Highfield on the signing:
“We are very proud to announce the signing of an international deal with Napalm Records. To join such a well regarded label, who share our vision and excitement for the music we make, is the start of the new chapter for SULDUSK. The signing will also mean we can reach out to more of our fans and also to tour beyond Australia’s shores.  The new album will be released through Napalm Records in early 2024, with more updates on that soon.”

Sebastian Münch (Senior A&R at Napalm Records) comments:
“Emily Highfield combines, in an enchanting way, all the beauty of dark folk and post-rock with a breeze of black metal. This is a beautiful musical journey that will give fans of UlverAgalloch and Empyrium a new favorite band. I am very much looking forward to the new studio album.”

TESSERACT

Unveil Single ‘Echoes’

After releasing the album of their career in the form of ‘War Of Being’, TesseracT invite fans once more to a beautiful listening experience in the form of ‘Echoes’.

The track lands with earth shattering impact as guitar riffs collide with polyrhythmic drums, giving way to malleable bass lines, coupled with a vocal performance that is as vulnerable as it is brilliant. Gearing up for the track’s climactic grand finale where aftershocks of groove reverberate throughout the listener. It’s the perfect prologue in understanding the relationship between El and The Scribe.

Regarding the track, Daniel Tompkins had the following to say:

“The concept of Echoes is based around one of our main characters, ‘El’ and ‘The Scribe’. They play a major part in the concept and game as The Scribe is a splintered part of El’s ego that has the ability to control destiny and rewrite the past.

Dan continues:

This has always been a hard-hitting song and it adds a real dynamic to the album. As a stand-alone track it exudes feelings from the heights of euphoria but also the depths of desperation. There’s a real sense of frustration and regret throughout, especially as the song climaxes with its brutal admission.”

The visualiser, created by Asiel Manuel Rodriguez Espinosa  (@ asiel_type ) peels back yet more layers from the mysterious world of ‘The Strangeland’. It moves from peaceful moonlit plains to firey ruins taking with it listener to another world.
