Rock Oyster is proud to unveil synth pop’s first international superstars, The Human League as their third and final headliner for 2024. Formed in 1977, the group achieved phenomenal success through the ‘80s with a string of hits that included ‘Don’t You Want Me’‘Together In Electric Dreams’‘Mirror Man’ and ‘Human’. One of the most innovative bands to break into the pop mainstream on a wave of synthesizers and electronic rhythms, their marriage of infectious melodies and state-of-the-art technology proved enormously influential on countless acts following in their wake.

They join previously announced headliners Sugababes and Bombay Bicycle Club to complete this year’s epic line-up. Known for their chart-topping hits like “Round Round” and “Push The Button,” Sugababes are celebrated as one of the most successful British girl bands of the 21st Century. The original lineup of Mutya BuenaKeisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy reunites to headline our Saturday night, promising an unforgettable performance for fans.

Bombay Bicycle Club gained recognition with their 2009 debut album, ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’. Comprising Jack Steadman, Jamie MacColl, Suren de Saram, and Ed Nash, the band have evolved into one of Britain’s prominent guitar bands of the past decade. Bombay Bicycle Club close up this year’s festival fresh from their latest record ‘My Big Day’ which features collaborations with Chaka KhanDamon Albarn, and Holly Humberstone

Unquestionably one of the most respected and popular DJs in the world today, if not of all time, the iconic Norman Jay MBE joins the Rock Oyster party, championing new sounds and guaranteeing nothing but ‘Good Times’. Formed in Atlanta in 1988, Arrested Development were the first ever hip-hop artists to receive the “Best New Artist” Grammy (they have won a few over the years!). Still fronted by founder Speech, they became one of the most iconic and important hip-hop artists of all time. We have wanted to welcome these guys for years, so this will be very special.

The festival has also sprinkled a touch of the big voice, big bass and big hair of Eva Lazarus to this year’s bill, alongside the infectious surf-infused dance rock of Sydney’s Caravaña Sun. The new additions join Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson (aka CMAT) who with two number one albums under her belt and a fresh nomination for Best International Artist at this year’s Brit awards is looking like one to watch this year!

You might know him as the presenter of BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen or BBC2’s Food Unwrapped, but third and final Rock Oyster Chef Headliner, Matt Tebbutt also boasts a glittering culinary career. Matt gained a diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London, before working for some of London’s most prestigious restaurants including Marco Pierre White at the Oak Room and Criterion, and Alastair Little who he cites as the greatest influence on his cuisine. Matt joins previously announced headliners, Michelin starred seafood chef Nathan Outlaw (Outlaw’s New Road and Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen) and Tom Brown (London’s Michelin starred ‘Cornerstone’ and ‘Pearly Queen’, which opened in Shoreditch in November 2023). Tom, who is originally from Cornwall, has previously worked under both Rick Stein and Nathan Outlaw.

Joining previously announced chefs including Emily ScottJack SteinThuy Diem PhamMark Hix, and Richard Bertinet, Rock Oyster serves up a host of new chefs including Gill MellerBecky ExcellJames StrawbridgeOlivia Burt, Steven LambKathy SlackNicholas Balfe and over a dozen more new names. By far the biggest food Festival in the South West, this year’s line-up promises delights for all foodies.

The festival has also announced extensive additions to its feasting and food programme with further details to be unveiled in March.

Located on the banks of the Camel Estuary on the stunning Cornish coast, Rock Oyster is a 4-day festival and camping holiday taking place from 25-28 July 2024. A voyage of culinary discovery, there’s mouth-watering food from Michelin-starred chefs to creative kitchen wizards, a musical line-up from internationally acclaimed artists, all topped off with an adventure and wellbeing programme and plenty of family entertainment for everyone, located in the ultimate UK summer holiday location.
