Lead singer Jay Davies, guitarist Michael Kountis, drummer Richard Smith, rhythm guitarist Matty Brougham and bassist Ryan Lewis are The Hummingbirds formed in 2011 as childhood friends messing around with guitars and then they slowly created their own sound. Liverpool born and bred, the city has a musical heritage up there with some of the best in the world. From the sixties up to modern day music, Liverpool never fails to produce some of the finest artists you will come across. From The Beatles to The Coral, The Lightening Seeds to The Zutons, they’ve all had an impact on the band from an early age. The bands harmonies are one of the most important parts of their performance live and in studio recordings, hugely influenced by bands such as The Beatles, The Hollies, The Everly brothers. Love and relationships strongly influence their writing process, finding themselves writing songs about current and past experiences and different situations that have had an impact on the way they write their music

The band have had countless Radio plays on BBC Radio 2 & local BBC radio stations ( Merseyside, Tees, Oxford, London etc)

My life is a soundtrack, i track my life through music, photography is my passion, my escape, my expression. Without both i have pieces missing, thankfully i’m blessed and get to combine both.
Born in Manchester, lived in Australia for 22 years where i was heavily involved in the Australian Music Industry, firstly in bands (Singer) and then managing bands (all original), I moved back to the UK, Wales specifically 10 years ago
