The UK’s No.1 tribute to the works of Morrissey, Marr, Rourke, & Joyce – THE SMYTHS – will be touring in 2024 and 2025.
Marking the 40th Anniversaries of The Smiths’ classic 1984 albums ‘The Smiths’ and ‘Hatful of Hollow’ with a series of special commemorative shows, the band’s latest tour will also see them showcasing a ‘best of’ and much more from the canon of Manchester’s greatest indie band.
Taking in a series of major UK O2 Academies as they tour across the globe with the show this year, catch The Smyths playing in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Newcastle and other big spaces across the nation. Details are below…
For more than twenty years, THE SMYTHS have brought the music of The Smiths back to life in the live arena across more than 900 shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand as well as countless festivals including Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight and Bestival.
Acclaimed by Johnny Marr (on Radio 6) and Stephen Street (Smiths Producer), rather than employ silly props and clichéd visual tropes The Smyths focus on the live experience of a Smiths show, imagining what The Smiths would sound like today after more than 40 years of playing the songs to several generations of fans; from the teens of then who are Grandparents now, to their children and onto to the teens of today. The music of The Smiths remains as fresh and important as it did at the time of its inception. The Smyths re-define what a tribute is, caring less about the silly props choosing to focus on the experiential, the fevered rush of a brilliant band playing the songs of a generation that reverberates and resonates today. For anyone mourning the live absence of the original band, The Smyths are the closest you’ll ever get to being there.
Every year sees ever more developments for The Smyths and 2024 will find the band playing some of their biggest shows yet in the UK, as they also prepare for their fourth tour of Australia to meet surging demand Down Under.

My life is a soundtrack, i track my life through music, photography is my passion, my escape, my expression. Without both i have pieces missing, thankfully i’m blessed and get to combine both.
Born in Manchester, lived in Australia for 22 years where i was heavily involved in the Australian Music Industry, firstly in bands (Singer) and then managing bands (all original), I moved back to the UK, Wales specifically 10 years ago
