PLUS ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM ‘SURVIVAL MODE’ – LANDING 3RD MARCH 2023

Viral Manchester trio THE HARA have returned with gargantuan new single ‘ROCKSTAR’ out today via Scruff Of The Neck Records

The exhilarating track lyrically interrogates the perception of the rockstar lifestyle whilst musically delivering intense rock hooks interspersed with the genre-fluid style fans of THE HARA will be familiar with.

Elaborating on the track further, the band say, “‘ROCKSTAR’ is the glorified expectation the world outside of our band has of us, whether it be family, friends, or fans. How everything online looks like we are just living the dream when in reality there’s a lot more to it. But we chose this life and we will play the part or even pretend until that glorified outside view becomes a reality.”

Having tried and tested ‘ROCKSTAR’ during festival season this summer, it’s also the first single taken from their upcoming debut album ‘Survival Mode’ due for release on 3rd March 2023 via Scruff Of The Neck Records, and produced by Jason Perry (Don BrocoMcFly).

THE HARA have taken the UK by storm in the past 12 months with major UK festival performances at Reading & Leeds Festivals (Main Stage), Download and TramlinesGemma Bradley gave the band their break at BBC Radio 1, whilst they have already been playlisted on SpotifyApple MusicAmazon Music and Deezer as their ‘genre fluid’ sound sees them continue to break new ground sonically. This hybrid of sounds has also warranted them to be featured across airwaves and column inches, with notable acclaim from BBC IntroducingKerrang!DorkAmazing Radio and Manchester Evening News. Following the release of ‘ROCKSTAR’ the trio will also be heading out on the road with Sueco supporting him on his European tour.

And it all boils down to the hard-working and focussed ethos that has tied the band and their journey together since they started making music. Explaining the band’s mantra, frontman Josh Taylor says, “We want to show everyone that despite it all, despite what the statistics say, despite what people say or any of that social media acceptance bullsh*t, it really doesn’t matter. Thousands of people will reject you for being different but there are 10 times over that amount who will accept you and who are feeling just like you. If people can become a part of such a glorious resistance through our music, then that’s our mission.”

‘ROCKSTAR’ is out now via Scruff Of The Neck Records. The Hara will release their debut album ‘Survival Mode’ on 3rd March 2023.
