FIND THEIR HEAVY SIDE ON NEW SINGLE ‘FOLLOW YOU DOWN’
NEW EP ‘BEAUTIFUL NOTHING’ SET FOR RELEASE JANUARY 2023
Vistas have returned with new single ‘Follow You Down’.
‘Follow You Down’ is the second single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming EP Beautiful Nothing, which was announced last month and is set for release January 2023 via Is Right Records. The trio kicked off this campaign with the massive ‘Back of the Car’, and are following suit with a new smasher that showcases a fresh side to their definitive sound.
Taking their style into glorious new territories, ‘Follow You Down’ is an urgent, vital call to arms with a signature soaring chorus and Prentice Robertson’s most visceral vocal performance to date. It’s a track that will no doubt delight fans and welcome new listeners into the fold to boot.
Speaking about ‘Follow You Down’, frontman Prentice Robertson said: “This is by far the heaviest Vistas tune to date and I think it has an early 2000’s indie feel to it. It came right at the end of a session when we wanted to try squeeze out one more idea. All the parts fell into place out of nowhere and the lyrics flowed out essentially in one stream of consciousness.
‘Follow You Down’ is about being the feeling of being in love with someone to the extent that you’d do anything for them even if it was self detrimental.”
After a successful year touring with indie giants The Courteeners (UK main support), The Wombats (EU main support), Jake Bugg (UK main support) and Gerry Cinnamon (UK arena tour) the band are ready to come back strong with arguably their best music yet.
Vistas are also massively supported at Spotify after being one of the UK’s first Radar artists, and amassing a string of playlist covers with huge editorial support.
‘Follow You Down’ is the latest single to be taken from forthcoming EP Beautiful Nothing, which is slated for release in January 2023 ahead of a new album and huge academy size tour.
