After months touring across Europe to sold out crowds plus Huge Eurovision performances, one of Ireland’s biggest bands Wild Youth along with their friends and the biggest band from Slovenia Joker Out have announced a co headline tour this July. The news follows a highly anticipated show at Dublin Whelan’s tonight, which sold out in minutes.
As known for their enigmatic stage presence as they are for their signature catchy choruses, David Whelan, Conor O’Donohoe, Ed Porter and Callum McAdam’s unapologetic creativity has seen them hit the road in coveted support slots for household names like Mumford and Sons, The Script and Niall Horan. The band have wowed audiences by taking the stage at prestigious venues across the UK and Ireland, including London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall as well as selling out headline shows at The Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
A constant mainstay on Irish airwaves and music charts since their debut in 2017, Wild Youth’s appeal has seen them become an equally present force across streaming platforms through their Forever Girl singles and their Eurovision 2023 entry We Are One which has so far earned nearly three million plays on Spotify alone. On the cusp of international superstardom, Wild Youth’s these new live dates acts as a significant milestone in the band’s journey towards inevitable global domination.
Joining Wild Youth is the hottest Slovenian rock ‘n’ roll band Joker Out. The quintet who are featured in IMPALA’s 100 Artists to Watch in 2023 list were a hot discovery of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, where they performed an energetic generational anthem ‘Carpe Diem’. On top of that Bojan (vocals), Kris (guitar), Jan (guitar), Nace (bass) and Jure (drums), stirred a lot of attention with ‘New Wave’, a collaboration with the iconic Elvis Costello – who’s also involved in their next single ‘Indecent Notions’. The charisma, recordings and wittiness of Joker Out can only be topped by their live performances.
