MAKE SURPRISE RETURN WITH ‘HELL ON EARTH’
FIRST NEW MATERIAL SINCE 2020
Circa Waves have made a surprise return with new single ‘Hell On Earth’,
‘Hell on Earth’ is the band’s first piece of new material since 2020, and welcomes the start of a new era for the indie icons.
Premiered as exclusive first play with Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1 last night, ‘Hell On Earth’ is a no holds barred summer smasher, combining infectious melodies with relevant, impactful lyrical work all underpinned by bombastic instrumentation. An undeniable indie banger, the single is definitively Circa Waves.
Speaking about ‘Hell On Earth’, frontman Kieran Shudall said: “‘Hell On Earth’ is about the world moving so fast around you you’re struggling to keep up. Record stores closing, politicians lying more than ever, social anxiety at its highest level and that general feeling some days that everything is going wrong.”
The single comes in the midst of a massive summer for Circa Waves, with the band recently playing huge sets at Community and Benicassim and a main stage slot at Reading & Leeds set for later this month.
