Head Ballet are back with their third single, ‘To Know Yours’. Combining ringing guitars, a heavy synth bass and piercing vocals, ‘To Know Yours’ amplifies a last ditch attempt to stop a break up. The sinking feeling when you realise you’re not going to have that type of relationship with them again. Codependency revealing itself in a distressed adamancy of not wanting to carry on living your life without them in some way.
The duo explains – “To Know Yours encompases the turmoil of going through a break-up and not being able to comprehend them not being in your life anymore. It was written and recorded a couple of weeks after an intense break-up of Kiera’s, so everything was still raw. We took the grief and turned it into a song. Funnily enough, we wrote over her ex’s guitar loop too, which was definitely one way to incite the emotion”.
Accidentally living together during the early stages of a COVID lockdown – songwriters Kiera Court and Danny Casio began their collaborative journey, developing an eclectic writing dynamic that draws on mutual influences including Grimes, Arcade Fire and Wolf Alice. Despite being new to the scene, the independent duo are already attracting attention from BBC Introducing Essex, their fast-growing social media following and some of the industry’s most influential figures. Head Ballet are creating energetic, nostalgic indie music fit for the perfect coming of age movie.

Born in Manchester, lived in Australia for 22 years where i was heavily involved in the Australian Music Industry, firstly in bands (Singer) and then managing bands (all original), I moved back to the UK, Wales specifically 10 years ago and married my childhood sweetheart and life is good.
