A cold Saturday night, the day after Christmas 2020. I had an itch that needed scratching as it had been six days since my Nikon fired. I search the internet for a show that didn’t require extended travel. Then I saw a post about The Beautiful Bastards playing at The Drunken Parrot Saloon which is just under five miles from my home. The show started at 9:00 pm and it was just after 8:00 pm, I had plenty of time to charge the battery and get out and cover the performance for All Music Magazine.
I left the house at 9:40 pm and the drive to the Parrot was cold and my truck barely had enough distance to get the air blowing hot as the tuck’s dashboard said it was 39 degrees outside. The drive was under ten minutes and I knew where I was headed the room was warm and the band was hot.
The Beautiful Bastards are a three-piece band of former international touring musicians. Rick Navarro, the lead singer and bass player toured with the Pat Travers Band, Rick Derringer, Steven Tyler, Richie Sambora and Eddie Money. Timbo, or Timothy DiDuro played drums with Skid Row, Vince Neil and Slaughter and guitar player Dean Aicher was the lead guitar player for former Bad Company lead singer, Brian Howe.
Their smokin hot set covers the likes of Led Zepplin, Pearl Jam, and even David Bowie. The Beautiful Bastards music lit up the room as the audience got up to dance and perform cold fusion that warm up the room. Get out and see these great musicians, they are out playing almost every weekend around the Orlando, Florida area.
