From the 25 November to the 04 December Winter Sounds, a brand new festival will be filling venues across Conwy and shining a light on musical talent from Wales and beyond.
The line-up has something for everyone from a homecoming gig with Sweet Baboo, world class flamenco with Juan Martin and a solo set from Liverpool indy legend John Power.
Reverend Eryl Parry from the Bro Celynnin Ministry Area said, ‘We are delighted to be working with the Creu Conwy team and hosting some local and internationally renowned artists at St. Mary’s church in Conwy. These free and accessible events will be a real boost for our communities and towns and hopefully something we can build on year on year”.
In addition, the team behind Winter Sounds have been working hard with communities to bring you Winter Sounds Extra. These fringe events offer everything from immersive sounds and visuals from the Carneddau Mountains to bilingual beatboxing for kids with Mr Phormula and a special Photo Film Club at Oriel Colwyn. The events are mostly free, but ticketed and you can get yours by visiting Conwy Culture | Winter Sounds. The concerts are suitable for over 14s, but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Winter Sounds are also working with Beacons Cymru to offer mentoring opportunities for 18 to 25 year olds interested in progressing a career in the music industry. A day of industry talks, workshops, networking and live music will be hosted by Tape Music and Film on Friday 2 December. CONNECT WITH WINTER SOUNDS
My life is a soundtrack, i track my life through music, photography is my passion, my escape, my expression. Without both i have pieces missing, thankfully i’m blessed and get to combine both.
Born in Manchester, lived in Australia for 22 years where i was heavily involved in the Australian Music Industry, firstly in bands (Singer) and then managing bands (all original), I moved back to the UK, Wales specifically 10 years ago
