The River Reeves Foundation and Neighbourhood Weekender have partnered to offer one artist the chance to open the main stage at Neighbourhood Weekender on Sunday 29th May.
The River Reeves Foundation (RRF) is excited to announce a joint venture with Neighbourhood Weekender that will see one of our RivFest22 acts chosen to open the main stage on the Sunday at this year’s Neighbourhood Weekender, taking place at Victoria Park, Warrington on 28th and 29th May.
The River Reeves Foundation will announce the full RivFest22 line-up on Friday 1st April, and the event will be taking place at Warrington’s Old Market, Golden Square on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August 2022.
The Neighbourhood Weekender team will announce their chosen act from the shortlist on April 7th.
The Neighbourhood Weekender team said ‘We are really excited to launch this competition in partnership with the River Reeves Foundation for an up and coming act to win an opening slot to play on the same stage as the likes of Courteeners, Kasabian, Blossoms, Tom Grennan, Pale Waves and more.’
The River Reeves Foundation said ‘It is so exciting to be able to work closely with the Neighbourhood Weekender team and provide them with a shortlist of talented young musicians, one of which will be chosen by them to play on the main stage at the Weekender Festival in Warrington this coming May. It is a wonderful legacy for River and the achievements of Viola Beach, the band he was so proud to be a part of.’
